Are people just not interested in DtBr?
I built this system for myself where I don't start work on the next chapter until someone comments on the one before it so I know at least SOMEbody has read it. I keep seeing the view count go up, but how do I know they're from people that are interested and not just randos creeping on my page? I mean I built up all this hype for it, got some great initial reactions when I revealed I was gonna finally start writing this, and I'm met with indifference. I feel like I'm getting close to deleting all DtBr chapters and stopping the series entirely, voluntarily or otherwise.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I generate interest again? I don't remember having this problem this badly with PF.

It's that time again!

Artfight 2022!

Artfight 2021!
It's almost July, which means my yearly shift to drawing random people's OCs in the name of Artfight! I plan to be on team Cyberpunk, which means any people who are on Steampunk are 110% welcome to slap me in the face with their characters! https://artfight.net/~ElectricBlueTempest I plan to post a couple more pieces before July comes, 2 in particular are character refs for AF. So get hype!
Ideas about stuff for 2021
So I've got bad news, good news, and slightly different good news. Bad news: I've kinda exhausted my idea well for one-off Cuphead comics. Maybe I'll get a big, bright idea once again, but as of right now? Not so much. I've got some one-offs for AC, but I know most of my followers are here for Cuphead. Which brings me to my first good news point... Good news: In December of 2017, when I first got into this fandom, I had a little idea. A post-apocalypse/mutation AU for Cuphead. I've been tweaking and playing with ideas for it ever since then, as well as waiting for my fanbase to grow before I started working on it. It's probably time to draw that now, so stay tuned for that series! Different good news: In the same body horror vein as the mutation AU, I've got an original art idea coming up. This'll be an OC comic, featuring a character who is a bit disturbing and fanservice-y at the same time. ...You'll see. So be on the lookout for that as well! Let me know your thoughts, EBT out!

I read the first two chapters, and three and four sat in my inbox for a while before I realized I wasn't really interested. I really only read the first two because I myself have dabbled in writing before, and I wanted to help you out with some critique. It's not bad, it's just not my preferred genre of fiction.
But, to be honest, I don't think you should hold off on writing until you get feedback. Peoples' interest tends to peak and fade, and a system that results in less motivation to write is not a good system. I understand the desire for recognition, but if you want to improve as an artist you have to learn to do it for its own sake, or the enjoyment of it, or something.
That's just my two-cents on it. Best of luck, regardless.
