Are people just not interested in DtBr?
I built this system for myself where I don't start work on the next chapter until someone comments on the one before it so I know at least SOMEbody has read it. I keep seeing the view count go up, but how do I know they're from people that are interested and not just randos creeping on my page? I mean I built up all this hype for it, got some great initial reactions when I revealed I was gonna finally start writing this, and I'm met with indifference. I feel like I'm getting close to deleting all DtBr chapters and stopping the series entirely, voluntarily or otherwise.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I generate interest again? I don't remember having this problem this badly with PF.

I read the first two chapters, and three and four sat in my inbox for a while before I realized I wasn't really interested. I really only read the first two because I myself have dabbled in writing before, and I wanted to help you out with some critique. It's not bad, it's just not my preferred genre of fiction.

But, to be honest, I don't think you should hold off on writing until you get feedback. Peoples' interest tends to peak and fade, and a system that results in less motivation to write is not a good system. I understand the desire for recognition, but if you want to improve as an artist you have to learn to do it for its own sake, or the enjoyment of it, or something.

That's just my two-cents on it. Best of luck, regardless.
